The goods you order will be delivered to the address you give when you place your order with us.

Orders for delivery in London (within M25 area) placed before midday will be delivered the following working day. We do not delivery weekends so please order by Thursday for Friday delivery. Outside of London, every effort will be made to deliver the goods to you within two working days from the day your order is placed, however, in very rare cases, this may be as long as seven working days. If this occurs, The French Wine Project will contact you to let you know. A working day is any day other than weekends and Bank or other public holidays.

The French Wine Project will not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you through any delay in delivery. If you have provided a delivery address that is not a mainland United Kingdom address (e.g. the Scottish Isles, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands, Channel Islands), an additional delivery charge will apply.The French Wine Project takes no responsibility if the address or postcode supplied is not correct, or if there is nobody available to sign for the goods. We cannot deliver to PO Boxes.

We cannot leave goods with anyone under the age of 18.

If the Carrier is unable to deliver, the driver will leave a card and try to deliver the next day (please note, our couriers are unable to card properties in blocks of flats if mailboxes cannot be accessed, and The French Wine Project will inform you by email that an attempt has been made to deliver). If next day delivery fails again, the carrier will return to our warehouse and the customer will have to pay for a further delivery. If a parcel is returned, the cost of this return, following all reasonable attempts at delivery and contact, will be the liability of the customer.

If the customer gives special instructions to us for the carrier to leave the parcel outside your house or with a neighbour, it will be left at the customers own risk and we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage arising as a result of carrying out those instruction.

Breakages, Returns and Refunds

Breakages must be confirmed within 24 hours of delivery. If you wish to return your order due to a fault of ours we are happy to get our courier to pick up the parcel from the delivery address stated on the invoice providing the parcel is securely packed in the same way as it was sent out. If you wish to return the parcel yourself you can do so. Once the parcel has been returned to us we will refund you the full amount. Please note that refunds may take up to 7 working days to appear in your account.

If a breakage occurs en-route to your delivery address, the undamaged cases will be delivered as normal, and we will attempt to contact you to enquire as to whether we can clean up and deliver the remainder of your order.  We will then refund you the cost of the broken bottle.


If you wish to cancel your order the cost of the wines will be reimbursed within 30 days. If delivery has already been arranged by our courier then unfortunately we will not be able to refund you, unless arrangements are made to return the wine back to our warehouse at a cost to the customer.
