Cuvee Amelie Chardonnay 2016 from Domaine Cazulet.
The aromas of this un-oaked chardonnay are fresh and fruity. On the palate there is a lovely freshness to it, with a hint of white peach and lemon and good acidity. It is very well balanced with a medium finish. We think this chardonnay is a fabulous wine for the price. If you think you don't like chardonnay, we suggest you try this.
100% Chardonnay wine from the great organic vineyard of Stephane Cazulet. This is a very special chardonnay wine and we personally think that if you don't want to pay the price tag for a Burgundy, this is a great substitute. Aged in oak for 6 months, it has a pleasant nose of tropical fruits. It is rich and slightly buttery with delicious fruit of melon, pineapple and nectarine. We think it is quite special. Great with creamy dishes, salmon, and white richer meats.
The vines are planted on clay and limestone hills at 140 metres altitude, with sandy pebbles and draining rock of fossilised coral. This beautiful 100% Vermentino (or Rolle as it is also known in France), is slightly mineral on the nose with notes of white flower. It is light and refreshing with good acidity, green apple, pear and lemon rind.

AOC St Chinian
Neighbouring the most famous vineyards of Saint-Emilion and Pomerol (Cheval Blanc, La Dominique, Petrus), Château Croque Michotte consists of just about 14 hectres of vines set on clayey sub soils covered in intensely gravelly soil stones/pebbles (graves) and ancient sands. The average age of the vines is 52 years old. The practice of small harvests and very rare use of fertilizers enables the production of wines to conform to the soil and benefiting from a natural acidity crucial to the production of vin de garde (wine for keeping/laying down). The wines are aged, for about twenty months, slowly, depending on the rhythms of the seasons and stay a year in French fine grained oak barrels. They are not filtered and hardly ever fined.
This St Emilion Grand Cru 2011 is a rich dark purple colour. It has wonderfully complex notes of dark fruits, blackcurrant, cedar, earth and vanilla, smooth tannins and a beautiful long lingering finish. A seriously good wine! Can be drank now or left for 10 years or more. An absolute bargain for a St Emilion Grand Cru of this quality.

Chateau Grand Renard Rouge Prestige 2014.
2015 VINTAGE ARRIVING END OF MARCH 2017 - This Prestige red is a blend of Merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Organic winemakers with passion and skill, and who respect the environment is a recipe for great wine. This wine is aged in french oak barrels for 12 months, gathering notes of spiced cooked black fruits, vanilla and coffee. In the mouth it is full of cooked blackberry. The tannins present give it good structure. When I need a fruity blackberry fix I reach for this, which for the price is a steal.

Chateau Le Chabrier Bergerac Gros Caillou is a blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. This fabulous red is obtained through low yield and very ripe grapes that are harvested as late as possible. Long ageing of at least 20 months in oak barrels, refines the structure of this excellent wine. The vintage 'Gros Caillou' or 'aged in oak' spends 20 months in oak barrels, giving it complex aromas of fine vanilla and fruits. It is very well balanced, with soft tannins that have a long finish. This wine ages well and you can keep it for a few years, if your willpower is strong enough.
50% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon, 20% cabernet franc
Chateau Le Chabrier Le Contrepoint Bergerac 2006 is quite a dark yellow in colour, which is quite misleading and not in keeping with the beautifully fragrant subtleness of this wine. It has persistent and long lasting aromas of lemon, vanilla and toasted almonds. The taste isn't overpowering, or heavy, but very slightly earthy (think fern, grassy - one taster said it reminds her of being in a meadow....). Matured for 12-30 months on lees has made this wine slightly creamy, but still fresh and lightly lemony, with a lingering, elegant and long lasting 'tingly' aftertaste.
55% sauvignon, 20% semillon, 20% muscadelle, 5% ugni
If you like the idea of a dessert wine but find some of them too syrupy or sweet, this is definitely the one for you. The Côtes de Bergerac 2010 Le Moelleux d'Octobre is made from overripe grapes, with no extra added sugars. A bright golden colour, with aromas of citrus, apricot, honey and white flowers. It is flavoursome without being overpowering, sweet, but not too sweet and is remarkably fresh and rounded on the palate with apricot, passionfruit and sweet honey flavours. Absolutely perfect match with brioche and fois gras, or with any dessert, especially a good tarte tartin

Domaine Cazulet Rouge 2014 is a blend of cabernet sauvignon and malbec, which brings freshness and tannic structure. Slightly peppery on the nose, with the merlot making it fruity and velvety. It is slightly mineral which is due to the clay limestone present in the ground (their vines sit on an area known as 'the rock'). It is fresh, fruity, medium bodied with great structure, and it's organic. All in all a well rounded and balanced elegant wine.THIS WINE WILL BE BACK IN STOCK SPRING 2017

All that is needed with this delicious white wine is a bowl of olives and some salted crisps. But if you prefer something a bit more substantial, it pairs really well with grilled white meats, summer salads, shellfish and fish.

Domaine Huber-Verdereau was founded by Thiébault HUBER in 1994, and originates from the 19th century when the family Verdereau began to grow wine on their estate in Volnay, Burgundy. Thiébault's grandfather Raoul Verdereau, worked hard developing the estate between 1928 to 1976, before sharing his properties between his two daughters. Thiébault's parents inherited around 3 hectares which they rented out until 1994, as they were neither winegrowers nor living in Burgundy. Their son Thiébault Huber who is the present manager, studied all about the hotel business and the art of being a sommelier at the famous Hotel Catering School in STRASBOURG. In 1990, he chose to take over the family estate, training for three years at the Wine School of BEAUNE, and with his cousin winegrower Jean-Marc BOULEY. He was the ready to create the Domaine HUBER-VERDEREAU, harvesting for the first time in 1994. In biological culture since 2001, Thiébault now applies the biodynamic farming to all the Field since 2005.
The 44 year old vines of this great Burgundy wine reside on the edge of the appellation Puligny-Montrachet, taking full advantage of the typical soils of Montrachet. Manually harvested, with pneumatic pressing of whole grapes and fermentation in oak barrels for 10 months. This gives the wine a great structure, it is round in the mouth, fresh and aromatic with notes of exotic fruits.
